Inventory is a serious buzz word right now in the real estate market. There simply aren’t many homes on the market and if you are thinking about selling your home you are in a great position. The fact is that as a seller, you have control over the pricing of your home almost like never before. This is a SELLER’S market. Will you take advantage?
Pictures tell a thousand words right? Take a look at this graph for Camarillo only for the last three years. During this time the amount of homes on the market remained somewhat steady, but if you look at the last few months there have been an almost historic lack of inventory, especially in the month of March.
Just to give you further perspective here is a graph all the way back to 2011.
As you can see from both graphs March 2017 was a record breaker. Very simply this means that because there are a lower number of homes on the market it increases that chance that you as a seller may get the price you are looking for. This doesn’t mean that buyers can’t find good deals, but it does mean that buyers who are ready to buy should be fully prepared when they DO find a home they like.
